101 Affiliate Marketing Tips- Part Ten

Finding Your Customers Offline

While it’s true that more and more online marketers are starting to market offline, there probably isn’t a competing affiliate in your neighborhood.

And that means there’s a virtually untouched market that you can start tapping into for fun and profits…

Tip #80: Give free talks at local organizations.

Many of the local clubs in your area would be thrilled to have a free guest speaker at their next “luncheon meeting.”

And all you have to do to secure these speaking engagements is call the person who’s in charge of the events (such as the club president).

Examples:

• If you sell business products, then you could speak at a Chamber of Commerce meeting.

• If you sell gardening products, then offer to speak at a gardening club meeting.

• If you sell information related to classic cars, then you can offer to speak at classic car event.

Point is, there are probably dozens of niche clubs having a meeting every month in your hometown.

See if there isn’t one that relates to your niche, and get on the phone to land yourself a speaking engagement.

Tip #81: Give free workshops in your area.

Instead of just giving a talk, you could do a demonstration or hold a short workshop.

Examples:

• If you sell model airplane kits, then you could do a workshop where you demonstrate the finer points of painting a model airplane.

• If you sell poodle grooming kits, then you could demonstrate the proper way to clip and groom a poodle.

At the end of the demonstration, include a “take away” flyer that includes highlights of your workshop along with affiliate links for your products.

Tip #82: Go to offline niche events.

Earlier you discovered that an easy way to boost your income is to ask for higher commission rates from vendors. And one of the best ways to ask a vendor is in person.

If you go to niche workshops, tradeshows, conferences and other events, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet vendors and discuss more lucrative commissions.

And that’s not all.

You can also use these offline events to:

? Meet JV (joint venture) partners. Get their contact information and follow up with them after the event to discuss JV opportunities.

? Meet prospects. Be sure to give them a reason to visit your blog and/or join your newsletter.

Tip #83: Use press releases to drive traffic.

While you can submit press releases to national or international media outlets, one of the easiest places to get a release printed is right in your hometown paper.

That’s because your local media is most interested in what local business people are doing.

Extra Tip: Address your release to the editor of the correct department… and make sure you spell his or her name right!

Tip #84: Hand out targeted flyers.

Some people suggest “mass papering” a parking lot full of cars (which may or may not be legal in your area).

However, you’re looking for targeted traffic, which means you’ll do better if you hand out flyers directly to a targeted group of prospects.

Examples:

• Hand out flyers at a “boat expo” to sell boating products.

• Pass out flyers at an organized day hike to promote hiking products.

• Hand out dog-related flyers at a dog show.

Extra Tip: Always ask for permission first before doing this at someone else’s event. You can increase the chances of the organizer saying yes by doing a joint venture with him.

For example, you include your ads and the organizer’s ad on the flyer. He gets a good deal because you pay for the flyers and spend the time and energy distributing them.

Tip #85: Send out postcards or other mailings.

If you’re not already collecting physical addresses in addition to email addresses, you may want to consider doing it.

Indeed, all you have to do is offer your prospects a physical freebie (such as a CD or DVD) in order to get their mailing info. Alternatively, you can buy physical mailing lists (www.srds.com).

Extra Tip: You can slash your mailing costs by doing a joint venture with other marketers in your niche.

Just create a mailing where everyone gets to include a flyer (or an ad on one flyer). Printing and shipping costs are minimal for each partner.

Tip #86: Use two-step advertising.

Finally, you can attract offline prospects by placing small classified ads in niche publications (or in niche-specific sections of the general classifieds).

However, don’t try to sell or pre-sell your prospects on buying a product.

Instead, offer a free report and send prospects to your squeeze page to claim that report. Then you can close the sale using your autoresponder.

Quick Recap

You just found out how to find prospects in a virtually untapped environment: Offline.

Read on to find out what one little skill you should hone if you want to start making even more money…

How Paralysis By Analysis Is Ruining Your Progress And Robbing You From Success In Internet

I want to explain this topic by talking about an Indian cricket player named ‘Virendar Sehwag.’
Of course, my American friends and people who don’t follow cricket may not relate to this, but bear with me here for a second.
When Sehwag first burst into international cricket, he was criticised for his technique, his shot selection and the so called experts of the game didn’t give him a chance to succeed in the longer version of the game.
Cut to the present, he is one of the most successful and feared opening batsman in the world.
Not only that, he has also achieved tremendous success in the longer format of cricket, which surprised by many experts of the game (to be honest, I didn’t expect him to succeed as well).
Here is the biggest strength of Sehwag- he lives in the moment.
Meaning, even if the bowler produces one of the best deliveries to beat him comprehensively, he still has the audacity to thrash the same bowler for a boundary or a six the very next ball.
In other words, his mind somehow magically erases the effect of the previous ball bowled by the bowler.
This makes it easier for him to play his cricket in his natural style. His mind is free of clutter and never goes into a state of paralysis by analysis.
When it comes to internet marketing, this state of paralysis by analysis is exactly what robs people from achieving success.
There is so much information overload that the problem often is not the lack of choice but rather the abundance of options available to be successful online.
Focus: Even the most successful internet marketers started from somewhere, a single point upon which they focused their way to a successful online business.
Focus is key especially when you are starting out or when you are limited on budget and time.
You cannot be all over the park and expect to generate a significant online revenue. First you need to figure out a business model that resonates with you and is based on your strengths.
For example, if you love writing and doing research, creating and marketing information products may be the best business model for you.
On the other hand, if you prefer helping small business owners, you could opt for being an offline consultant to help local businesses.
What you don’t want to do is to dabble in selling products on ebay for one day and then jumping to learn PPC the other day to buying products related to postcard marketing. This will not only burn holes in your pockets but will make you more frustrated and desperate.
Instead of buying one product after another, figure out what you want to do first, then develop a plan on how you are going to do what you are going to do and then stick to it.
It is just amazing how complicated and cumbersome we make internet marketing when it boils down to three simple steps as explained by Travis Sago.
1. Discover a hungry market
2. Find out what they want
3. Give it to them
And the beauty of the above 3 steps is simplicity.
Now it is time to embrace simplicity and follow it to the core.

Using Content for Maximum Impact

One way to reach deeply into your market and beat your competition is by using content marketing.

In this section you’ll use the tips and tricks to wring the most money out of every piece of content you distribute…

Tip #65: Do your keyword research.

If you want to use your content to pull traffic in from the search engines, then you’ll need to do your keyword research.

That way, you can find out exactly what words your market is already using to search for you… and then you can create content (i.e., articles) that includes those words about two to three times for every 100 words.

Extra Tip: Use Google’s Keyword Tool or WordTracker to find longtail keywords.

These tend to be four to five word phrases that may not get the search volume of a two-word keyword phrase, but neither do they have the competition.

And that means you can generally rank well in the search engines for these words.

Once you’ve created optimized articles, then you can:

? Post them on your blog.

? Submit them to article directories (like EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and IdeaMarketers.com).

? Trade them with other bloggers (i.e., become guest authors on each others’ blogs).

? Post them on social media sites.

? Paste them on niche forums.

Tip #66: Use articles to pre-sell affiliate products.

Blog articles, articles in article directories, articles on social media sites, articles you send to your list – you can use all these articles (and more) to pre-sell affiliate products.

Examples:

• Let’s suppose you’re selling an affiliate marketing report (like this one ? ). You can write an article that lists five of your own affiliate marketing tips, and then include your affiliate link for the report at the end of the article.

• Alternatively, you can create an article that talks about why affiliate marketing is the best business for a beginning marketer. Then drop your affiliate link at the end of the article.

• Finally, you can use the product reviews and comparisons we talked about earlier in this report. If it’s a new product, be sure to optimize for phrases like “[product name] review.”

That’s because your prospects will likely search for those terms in the upcoming weeks and months.

Tip #67: Weave product recommendations into your articles.

Another way to use an article to sell an affiliate product is by creating a “how to” article with a product recommendation dropped into the middle of the article. This works best if one of the steps in your article requires some particular tool or resource.

Examples:

• You create a “step-by-step” guide showing people how to install an aftermarket dashboard kit in their car. Then you recommend and promote a particular kit using your affiliate link.

• You write a “how to” article that describes how much a bodybuilder should eat and when. Part of the article talks about taking a whey protein supplement… and you include your affiliate link to a particular brand of protein.

Tip #68: Create pre-sell videos.

Naturally, you’re not just limited to text articles when you’re pre-selling affiliate products. You can also create videos and load them up onto YouTube.com and other social media sites (such as Squidoo.com).

Extra Tip: If it’s a physical product, show viewers how to use the product or what it looks like. In keeping with an example from the previous tip, you could create a video showing prospects how easy it is to install the dashboard kit (and what the dash looks like when it’s all finished).

Tip #69: Create free reports and distribute.

If can write more than an article on a particular topic, then you should consider writing special reports (with your affiliate links embedded).

The idea is the same: You create useful but incomplete information so that readers need to purchase a product to solve their problems.

Or you provide complete “how to” instructions along with a link for a product (e.g., the dashboard kit example).

Once your report is complete, give it away freely on your blog, to your newsletter list and on social media sites. You may also list it in “free ebook directories” and in your niche forum signature files.

Extra Tip: If the report promotes a product with a two-tier affiliate program, then you can make the report rebrandible.

That is, you let others join the affiliate program using your link and then they change the links in the report to their affiliate link.

Since it’s a two-tier program, you still get a small commission for every sale they make… and so do they, which means they have an incentive to promote your report!

Tip #70: Offer resell rights to your products.

Another way to get massive exposure for your affiliate links is to create paid products, include your links in these products, and then offer resell rights to the products to other marketers.

It’s a win-win situation.

The other marketer has an incentive to promote your product, since they get to keep 100% of the profits. You win because your affiliate links are included in the product, meaning you get the backend income.

And as an added bonus, you even make a little money up front selling those resell rights licenses.

Extra Tip: You can sell resell rights licenses to your products on marketing forums like WarriorForum.com (classified section or Warrior Special Offer forum), the DigitalPoint.com marketplace or the SitePoint.com marketplace.

Tip #71: Avoid using direct affiliate links in products.

Earlier you discovered that you should use redirect links to prevent customers from chopping off your affiliate ID and other marketers from stealing your commissions.

Here’s another reason to use redirects: If the affiliate program ever ends or the product gets taken off the market, you won’t have thousands of dead links floating around in free reports, articles and so on.

That’s because all you have to do is change the redirect link from the old affiliate product to a similar affiliate product.

End result: No more lost sales!

Tip #72: Blanket your niche with content.

Imagine this: Your prospect is searching for various niche-related keywords in Google. Seems like every time he searches for something, an article with YOUR name on it turns up.

What’s that prospect going to think of you?

That’s right – he’s going to assume you’re an expert. And as you already know, establishing yourself as a niche expert boosts sales.

To that end, you should blanket the niche with your name by blanketing it with your content.

For example:

? Post videos on YouTube.com and Break.com.

? Create pages on HubPages.com and Squidoo.com.

? Participate on the major forums in your niche.

? Create and post regularly to a blog.

? Participate on the major social networking forums.

? Create third-party blogs on sites like Blogger.com.

? Submit articles to article directories.

? Trade content with other marketers in your niche (e.g., trade blog and newsletter content).

Quick Recap

You just learned how to use content to boost your sales. Next up, you’ll discover how to use social communities to increase your affiliate income…

How To Have A Winning Mindset

“A Winning Mindset” Your Mind is Your Strongest Weapon!

Let me get started into this chapter by asking you a very serious question.
“Do you expect to win or lose?”
Pretty simple question one would think isn’t it?
Stop and think about it for just a second and come up with your answer.
I find that the language many of my students really are speaking suggests that when faced with an opportunity of any description, they don’t expect to win.
Therefore, by default, they are setting themselves up to lose.

Here is an example of what I hear when I start one of my first coaching calls with students that just bought one of my products, or a competitor’s product I may have recommended: “Well, we will see how this product does for me.
The last thing I did didn’t get me any results at all, so I am hoping that I am not getting myself in the same situation.”
Does this sound like someone that really is ready to do whatever it takes to make this new product really work?
Or does it suggest they really do not expect any different result than what they experienced with the last product?
The language you speak is simply a manifestation of the way that your mind thinks and the belief system that it has.
The words coming out have to be thought – either consciously or subconsciously.
What is your language? Is it positive or is it negative?
Does every direction you look seem to point towards failure?
Mirror Test
Let’s do the Mirror test
First I have another question to ask you, “What Do You See in Your Mirror?”
Do you see every imperfection, worry, or failure, or do you truly see the greatness you were created to walk in?
What do you hear yourself say?
Do you berate yourself with comments like “I’m overweight,” and “I’m getting old”? Or do you stand tall and say “I look great!”
I really believe that a mirror reflects much more than what your eyes see at a quick glance.
If you really listen to the thoughts going on inside your mind as you look into that mirror.
I think you will find that a mirror really reflects your inner thoughts and your beliefs. It is a reflection into the soul.
I challenge you to next time you’re in front of a mirror to listen to the voice inside and what it is saying…. I think you may be surprised.
Take a good look at these 3 pictures and come up with answers to these questions.
- What kind of words are they saying about them-selves in their minds?
- What are the thoughts running through their heads right now?
- Are they positive or are they negative?
- Where would these thoughts have originated or be coming from?
- Is it what they really see or is it coming from the influences that surround them in their lives?
When I look at this picture I see someone totally different than I used to see when I looked in the mirror before.
Now I see someone who still struggles from time to time with really realizing and being the total amazing and successful person that I am.
I am working on things but I can tell you I really have come a long way.
Back before I began coaching and mentoring I was not someone I really enjoyed looking at in a mirror.
I was at a point in my life where everything I had worked so hard for was slowly slipping away from my grasp.
I went from a person that gave everything he had to his Job to someone that pretty much felt like he was ripped off and owed.
There had been many promises made in the beginning of my employment through no fault really of my employers that were never fulfilled.
Plans of future that promised growth during my employment and retirement when the time came for it to end.
Not much of that happened because of the economy.
Each day became just another day at what I looked at as my dead end job until finally I gave in and found something else.
I headed into factory work which I had vowed to never do again in my life.
But once again the promise of great benefits and retirement and high wages drew me in and we began my brand new venture.
One year into the job and talk of layoffs were flying around the plant and due to my low seniority I was on my way out.
We were able to work for one more year before the layoff was to take place, but in the meantime hours began to become less and less as the day of the layoff grew closer.
The bills we had, had begun to get farther and farther behind until we were so far behind that my credit was in the dumps and my house was ready for the beginning process of foreclosure.
The phone rang off the hook from creditors wanting money that I wish I had to give them. We just refused to answer the phone after a while, which did nothing to stop it from ringing.
Quite possibly you may understand where I am coming from when I tell you I felt pretty worthless as a father and a husband, especially if you are a husband or father.
I really think if you are a wife you will know as well as my wife could see things better than I seen them myself.
In my eyes I was failing as a provider and I was no longer successful because I was losing my job!
For years I was taught that if you did not have a good job that you could count on to support your family that you were pretty much looked at as being a failure.
If you got behind, you just worked more hours.
As the layoff drew closer my coach asked me what I was going to do now.
My answer was the only thing I knew. “Go look for another job!”
My coach told me to check my email and I would find a plane ticket down to Atlanta Georgia where he lived so that I could begin learning what he did for a living.
Right away I started putting up walls against the idea out of fear.
My coach was telling me I was going to start up my own business and although it was always a dream of mine, it was something I never really seen myself capable of doing.
Right away I started to tell him how much money I did not have to do anything he was asking of me, which he right away said not to be worrying about as he was going to take care of things until I got back on my feet.
At that moment I knew how my parents felt during the times of their struggles while I was growing up.
I remember them asking to borrow money from me to help buy groceries and things when they just didn’t have it.
I never stopped to think how they must have felt. They were now asking the very ones they were supposed to be providing for, for help.
Now my coach was helping me. It was time for a bit of role reversal. I was no longer the mentor. I was the one being mentored.
Needless to say when I looked into the mirror I seen the very person I was told I would be if I found myself in this kind of situation.
A FAILURE!
I really do not know what the situation is that you are finding yourself in as you read this book.
What I do know is that your situation is very close to you and it is probably playing a big part in how you see yourself, and what direction you see clearer for your life right now.
Our current mindset plays a very big role in what direction we see clearer, Success or failure.

How To Use Google Analytics Goals And Funnels

How to Use Google Analytics Goals & Funnels

Every website has a main objective. To obtain the objective you set goals.

Those goals are broken into steps that have to be taken in order to reach the goal which gets you one step closer to fulfilling your objective. The process of going through each step is your funnel.

Goals allow you to see the conversion rate and monetary value of your traffic.

Funnels allow you to monitor how frequently your site visitors start the conversion process, complete it, abandon it and at what point they abandon so you can work on ways to improve your return on investment (ROI).

Some examples of goals might be tracking how many people completed your sales process and reached the thank you/download page.

It might be monitoring what percentage buyers take you up on your upsell offer and where in the process the rest abandon the offer.

For this demonstration, we will be using Google Analytics goals to measure how well our about page works at sending visitors to our services page.

You will need:

1. To have your goals (up to 20) and funnel figured
2. To know the URLs for each page in your funnel (up to 10)
3. To know the value of your goal (optional) – you’ll find an explanation further down.
4. An existing Google Analytics account with the tracking code installed on your website.

Step 1: Choose Your Profile & Navigate to Goals Setup Area

Log into your account and from the View Reports dropdown, select the site in which you want to set up your goals.

Select Goals from the left sidebar.

In the Goals Overview section, click the Set up Goals & Funnels link at the bottom.

Step 2: Set Up Goal(s)

In the goals section, you have the option to add up to four sets of conversion goals. You can then add up to 5 goals per “set”. Click Add Goal next to Goals (set 1) to get started.

You’ll have several places to fill in to get your goal set up. Let’s quickly go through each item…

Goal Name: Name your goal something you’ll quickly recognize

Active Goal: Make sure your goal is turned “On” so it will track. Turning it “Off” will stop the tracking but not delete the goal.

Goal Position: This allows you to control the order in which a goal appears in your report. It also lets you move a goal from one set to another without having to set up a completely new goal.

If this is the first goal you’re setting up, from the drop-down menu, select “Set 1, Goal 1”.

Goal Type: There are three types of goals; URL Destination, Time on Site and Pages/Views.

Once you select the goal type you want to set up, a “goals details” box will open, allowing you to enter more details about your goal.

Match Type: You have three options for how you want to match your goal…

• Exact Match – An exact match of every character in your URL – without exception According to Google, you’d use this when your URLs are easy to read and do not vary.

• Head Match - This matches the identical part of the URL string you specify. So you can specify only part of the URL and it will only match that part.

Google suggests you use this option if your website has dynamically generated content, use the Head Match filter and leave out the unique values.

• Regular Expression Match – With this option you can create wildcard matching. This could be useful when you’re tracking multiple items from within a folder such as download links.

For example, if you had multiple downloadable products in a folder called “downloads” that was housed in a folder called “members” you would enter /members/downloads/ in the regular expression field and it would track ALL of the files within that folder.

Case Sensitive: Are the URLs you entered above case sensitive? If so check this.

Goal Value: If your goal completion has a dollar value, enter it here.

Example: If your product sells for $100 and you know that 20% of the people who visit the page will buy, you could assign a $20 value to your goal.

If you’re going to add a Goal Funnel, click the plus sign. If you’re not, click Save Goal.

Step 3: Set up Funnel

We chose to do a URL Destination goal so here we will enter the URL to the first page of our conversion funnel.

This page should be a common page that all users working their way through your goal will land on – typically not your product page

Name the step so you can easily recognize it in the reports.

If this step is required to complete the conversion process, check the box.

Important! If you select this, any users reaching your goal page without going through this page will not be counted as conversions.

Repeat the process to set up the remaining steps in your funnel & click save when finished.

We only have one page for our funnel and one goal so we’re finished.

Once your finished setting up your goals and funnels, it’s time to wait. How long you wait depends on how busy your site is and how long you want to track everything.

Step 4: Checking Stats

When you’re ready to check your stats, log into your account, select the appropriate profile and then click Goals as you did in Step 1.

The first page you see will be your Goals Overview page. We set our goal & funnel up on March 28th so as you can see, there are no stats prior to that time.

From the above page, you can get many views of your stats.

Dates: In the upper right corner you’ll see the date span. You can select the drop-down arrow to change your date range. We changed ours to March 27th so we had a better view of just the dates being tracked.

You can also check stats by hours, days, weeks and months by clicking the icons directly below the date as shown below in the green box.

Goal Conversion Rate: Clicking the Goal Conversion Rate tab will allow you to change the view of your graph. You can view one at a time, compare two or compare one site to another (providing you have more than one site set up).

Advanced Segments: Clicking the “All Visits” above the date will allow you to choose what segments you want to view. You can also create new segments customized specifically for you.

Goal Verification: Clicking Goal Verification in the sidebar will bring up your main stats and show you the page URLs being tracked along with their individual stats.

Reverse Goals Path: Clicking Reverse Goals Path in the sidebar you’ll be able to see where your traffic came from and where they went to, to arrive at that destination.

Goal Funnel Visualization: Clicking Funnel Visualization in the sidebar will give you a visual look at your pages. Ours is not reading correctly because we only have on page in our funnel. You must have more than one in order for it to show correctly.

How To Market Your Information Products To Women

Here’s a question that Nicole Dean gets regularly from frustrated infoproduct sellers.

“My target market is women, and I’m having a hard time getting them to promote my products.

They just seem unmotivated. I don’t get it.

Does my affiliate program stink or am I recruiting bad affiliates?”

This just goes back to basic psychology. Women and men value different things.

Car salesmen are taught this in their training.

When a husband and wife walk into a car showroom, the car salesman will face the husband when he talks about things like … horsepower and engine stuff.

Then, he’ll turn to the wife and talk about safety and color options.

Is this condescending?

Yes.

But, it’s also *generally* effective.

My eyes glaze over when it comes to horsepower, but I want to know what I’m going to look like in my car! Sunroof? Radio?

Now we’re talking.

So, what does this have to do with your affiliate program?

Simple. Although I can’t speak for all women, obviously, I can tell you the things I value in an affiliate program.

Quality.

I value my newsletter subscribers and am building a relationship with them. (According to recent studies, women go online to find relationships and support.)

If your product or service is junk, then you could offer me 99% commission with a 99% conversion rate and I’m still not going to sell it to my visitors.

Affordability: I can’t promote a product that I, myself, would not buy. If you’re overpriced for what you offer, I can not promote your products to my subscribers.

Dollars and Cents.

Of course money is a factor.

It’s just not the #1 factor, as you may be surprised to know. 20% commission vs. 40% — I’m not as concerned about that as I am the other items in this list.

Tools: Yes, tools. This is really big, and so few affiliate managers “get it”. I think I’ve finally pinpointed why this is such a big thing (at least for me).

This scenario happens way too often: I find a product I am really excited about and I eagerly sign up for their affiliate program.

I log in so I can start telling everyone I know about this great product or service.

I can’t wait to see what they have in the “links” section. Will there be articles, or a rebrandable e-book maybe? Or even an informative video?

It’s like Christmas morning… what will I find?

And, then the affiliate section opens and there’s one measly link and a button.

My initial gut reaction is “They’re not even trying!”

And now, I don’t feel valued or motivated in the least bit.

You just succeeded in turning your biggest fan into someone who stuck a lousy button on her page and knows it’s not going to sell at all.

I know what you’re thinking.

It’s the affiliate’s job to sell.

Yes, you’re right. As an affiliate, I know that writing reviews and recommendations is the best way to sell a product. No doubt about it.

All I’m saying is that you’ve got to give us at least an indicator that you’re interested in building a working “relationship’.

Is it hokey to want a relationship with an Affiliate Manager?

Yes. It is.

But, I can tell you that any affiliate program where I get some attention and appreciation is going to get a lot more loyalty from me than an Affiliate Manager who sits on the couch drinking beer and watching football while I’m running around working my butt off… (Hmmm…. did I say that?)

So, yes, women are from Venus.

You can decide to embrace it and reap the rewards, or ignore it and wonder why your affiliates aren’t motivated. It’s your choice.

As an affiliate, I’m challenging you to embrace this information and run with it.

Are you ready to attract affiliates who are excited to promote your products?

And, would you like to have an affiliate program that doesn’t stink?

How To Use Squeeze Pages To Collect Opt-ins And Build Your List

A squeeze page is a great way to attract and gain more subscribers for your mailing list.

Squeeze pages are a very popular in internet marketing especially.

A squeeze page is a one to two page website capturing reader’s names and email addresses. The best squeeze pages make a very powerful statement in or to produce a reaction in the reader.

You really only have one chance to get the reader to take action and request to get more products or free offers that you will be offering now and in the future.

I have found that the best types of squeeze pages are very short and follow a simple format.

These types of squeeze pages give a big eye catching headline, a powerful sub headline, list the benefits of becoming a subscriber and what the reader can be expecting when they sign up with you, a brief description of the free offer you will be offering the subscriber for signing up, and last but not least an attractive opt-in form.

You do not have to follow these squeeze pages to a “T.”

Although they do need to be similar but with your own style of formatting and preference of how you want the content of your page viewed.

Now if you don’t already have a site or if you have never created one, you may feel overwhelmed when it comes to building a site.

When you use the right tools and programs it’s really not that hard as long as you take one step at a time.

First and foremost before you can create a squeeze page you will need a domain name for your site.

A domain name is what you enter in the address bar at the top of your browser.

For example: www.myprivatelabelrights.com.

You will want your domain name to be related to the niche you are in.

For example, let’s say you are going to be creating products for training puppies, a good domain name to chose would be something like trainyourpuppy.com.

This simply makes it easier for Google to be able to index you where you need to be indexed in that niche and in turn making it easier for readers to find you.

I recommend using a dot com (.com).

When people are trying to remember a domain name, dot com is the first thing most people will likely associate with the name.

Some marketers also feel that dot com’s take a bigger priority when it comes to search engine results.

There are tons and tons of domain name companies where you can pick up your domain.

I recommend using NameCheap.com.

After you have purchased your domain name you will then need to find a hosting company.

Every site on the internet is saved on a computer somewhere waiting to be accessed by a viewer.

A hosting company will store your website and then deliver it to whoever requests it by typing in your domain name.

There are tons of hosting companies on the web today.

Prices vary and they also offer different tools so really it’s just finding the right hosting company that fits your business needs.

Here are just a couple and frequently used hosting companies that you can check out:

- Hostgator
- BlueHost

Now that you have your domain name and a hosting company you will need to connect the two together so that your domain name can be live.

The main thing you will need to make sure that is in place for everything to work and be live is your name servers.

This is what links the domain name to your web hosting.

Your name servers are provided to you by your web hosting company.

If you did not receive your name servers from your web hosting company you will need to contact them and get them from them…

You will need this for your domain name to become live and to link it with your hosting company.

After this process is through and your domain name is live… you are ready to start creating your squeeze page.

But before you can start creating your squeeze page you will need a HTML editor and if you are a beginner and you are not familiar with HTML, you will need an HTML editor with a visual editor.

A lot of marketers call this a “WYSIWYG”, which is short for “What You See Is What You Get” editor and is very similar to word processor.

You can find free HTML editors on the internet, however I myself don’t personally use a visual editor and they can become a bit confusing.

We personally use CuteFTP and if you are fluent in HTML code then this is the perfect HTML editor for you.

The best free HTML editor I have tried before is CoffeeCup HTML Editor.

However there are many HTML editor software tools out there that in the long run pay for themselves.

Here are a few HTML editors you might want to check out and like I said before is a must have in building a website if you are creating one on your own:

www.CoffeeCup.com
www.CuteFTP.com
www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver

With most HTML editors there will also be a FTP program.

This allows files and folders from your computer to be transferred over onto your server and can be made live.

This is also a must have tool when creating your squeeze page. CuteFTP provides an HTML editor as well as an FTP.

With Coffee Cup HTML Editor you will need to also download an FTP program such as FreeFTP which is a free FTP program.

After you have all of the tools above, you are now officially ready to start making your squeeze page.

You will need to get graphics for your squeeze page, which will be your template that you will be creating your squeeze page on.

You can go to the WarriorForum.com and go to a section called “warriors for hire” and find tons of designers offering packages for some killer prices.

It is important that you check out the graphic designers portfolio because graphics do mean a whole lot in how well your squeeze page converts for you.

You certainly don’t want a bunch of garbage that looks like a kindergartener drew it. You want your graphics to be clean, sleek, and professional.

You can go to Google and type in graphics designers and find all kinds of graphics designers and portfolios, so it’s really not that hard to find the right graphics designer that will work with you and get you exactly what you are looking for.

Here are just few graphics designers with portfolios that you might be interested in checking out when you go to order your graphics for your squeeze page.

I know it seems like a lot of steps to go through, but it really is simple and easy to learn how to do and once you have all the tools you need to make your squeeze page, you’ll have your site up and running in no time at all.

How To Focus Your Way To Success In Your Online Business

Internet Marketing Success

I want to tell you a story.

This is a story of a boy with a magnifying glass and a piece of paper. The little boy was studiously immersed in his task. An elderly gentleman who walked by, stopped to take a look at the boy.

The boy seemed restless and frustrated as he moved the magnifying glass from one point to another. Curious to know what he was upto the elderly gentleman approched him and asked, “Son, what are you doing?”

The boy replied, “I was taught in my science class that if I use this magnifying glass on paper, I can light a fire. But I have been trying it for the past 5 hours and I have not been able to light a fire.”

The gentleman replied, “Let me help you here.” and he asked the boy to hold the magnifying glass and focus on just one spot.

The boy followed his advice and soon the paper caught fire to the little boy’s excitement.

He rejoiced at his success before he asked, “Why was I unable to light the paper?”

The gentleman replied, “You did not focus on one spot. You moved your magnifying glass all over the paper, so no one spot was hot enough to catch fire. Remember to focus” and walked away.

Now if you are wondering what this story has to do with Internet Marketing, it has everything to do with Internet Marketing especially if you have been toiling away for countless hours without any results.

The number one problem plaguing Internet Marketers today is lack of focus.

And I too suffered from the ‘Shiny Object Syndrome’ for a long time.

It took a toll of my health, energy, time and money.

I was working for long hours tirelessly and relentlessly only to be met with disappointment after disappointment.

And I was just like the little boy moving from one shiny thing to another. What’s worse these shiny objects wouldn’t even be related to each other.

I was buying products, courses and home study courses left, right and center. I learned as if there was no tomorrow and at the end of the day I knew a lot more than many people running successful businesses but I was yet to make a cent.

It was frustrating and I would often wonder, “What the heck, how can these broke, high school drop outs and bankrupt people be so successful while I having a masters degree suck at it?”

What happened during the course of time was that I became more and more unproductive as I was spending more hours in front of the computer.

I would wake up, have my breakfast and sit in front of the computer till lunch time and after lunch again spend time in front of the computer till dinner and again continue my activity till late midnight.

At the end of the day, I would have done nothing.

All I would do is check emails, open my chat window, go to Warrior Forum, read through product reviews, buy products, read them and do nothing with what I learned or would stop doing what I did with the previous products and start figuring out how to work on this new project.

So for one week it would be SEO, for another week it would be Pay per click marketing, the next week would be List Building, the week after would be article marketing followed by ebay marketing, amazon marketing, creating information products, time management etc.

Not only was I completely overwhelmed and suffering from information overload, I was also suffering from insomnia because my mind would be literally spinning with a thousand ideas to make money online.

You see that was my problem, I was interested in “making money online” and not in building a business. Initially I didn’t even know the difference between the two and it was only later that I realized that there is a huge difference between the two, as different as chalk and cheese.

Below is a fantastic presentation by Rich Schefren where he talks about the problems plaguing Internet Marketers today.

The one good thing that I did was that I never quit. As much frustrating it was, I never wanted to quit.

Because the alternative for me was far too depressing- do a day job for the rest of my life and retire at an age when I would have very little strength and interest to do things that I love in life.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Also my ego was the biggest barrier for quitting. I just could not surrend myself to accept the fact that I am one of those losers in life. Here I want to make a clarification.

By no means, I have any disrespect or contempt for people with regular jobs and a normal lifestyle.

The society literally needs people to do their jobs to function in peace and harmony. But I wasn’t wired to do a regular job and the thought of having to do that day in and day out for the rest of my life scared the heck out of me.

Slowly but surely I started realizing that buying products would do me no good, reading and learning new things would do me no good and constantly jumping from one thing to another would do me no good.

That’s when I decided to focus and start building a business online. And just this decision alone has saved me so much money, energy and resources.

I started knowing exactly what I needed to do and what I didn’t need. And when I purchased any new products it would be after careful consideration and heavy scrutiny.

The first question I would ask myself before contemplating on the product was “Would this product suit my business model?”

If it didn’t, I simply ignored it no matter how much revenue generating potential it may have. You could argue that this is not a good strategy, but this mindset helped me eliminate the noise in the environment as I focused on building the big M- momentum.

Think of the little snow ball that rolls down the hill slowly but steadily picking up mass and momentum down the way to eventually become a avalanche where barriers and stumbling blocks down the path are overpowered by the sheer pace and mass of the big snow ball.

Work on your avalanche by slowly building your snow ball but make sure that your little snow ball is growing in size every day no matter how small the growth may be.

Be patient, stick with it, enjoy building the snow ball as it makes the entire experience so much more fun and fulfilling. Over time, your snow ball would become big until you can push it down the hill to see it work wonders for your business.

Making Money, Investing Money, Saving Money Do You Sabotage Your Money Line?

Is the Law of Attraction working for you?

It always does. It is a Universal law.

But what exactly are you attracting?

You say positive affirmations.

You work hard.

You visualize yourself as a millionaire.

You create Dream Boards, like they showed in The Secret.

Still nothing much is happening.

Do you stop believing in the Law of Attraction?

Or maybe you subconsciously sabotage yourself?

Are the magnets in your subconscious attracting something else?

Okay, you may not be aware of it, but if there is something disruptive in your subconscious about making money, you are not going to be successful at making it.

You’ll find many excuses. You may think it is because you are not focused enough, that you don’t do enough research, that there is too much information etc., etc.

What is going on underneath the surface?

-Do you feel you deserve to make more money?

-Are you too young?

-Too old?

-Uneducated?

-Is it safe for you?

The good news is that all the answers are available literally at your fingertips.

To sign up for free videos demonstrating how to get to the answers within, go to www.TheFirstKey.com.

The book The First Key, How to Remove Subconscious Sabotage (Now available also as an e-book here) outlines technique that not only allows you to find what is causing the subconscious sabotage – but also how to easily and quickly remove it.

Fear-based subconscious sabotage occurs when people feel it is unsafe for them to achieve a goal either from fear of failure or fear of success.

Fear of failure is more common than fear of success.

Fear of success is less intuitively known, but it can come from a variety of sources.

Why should you fear financial success?

Because:

-What if you become unsuccessful again?

-You have a fear of the unknown.

-You’ll have more responsibilities.

Or you may have any of the following types of beliefs or fears:

-You may have the subconscious belief that when you’ll be successful your friends and family would be jealous or resentful, or they’ll take advantage of you.

-You may have the belief that once successful you’ll be too busy to enjoy life, or you’ll lose your family.

-It is not spiritual.

-You may believe you cannot be financially successful as a woman.

Let’s take Leslie as an example:

Leslie, a scientist, was terrible at investing money.

She kept making bad investments. I asked her how she invested, and she stated that she listened to the advice of friends who were good investors.

She also followed the advice of a broker who was recommended to her by a friend. Some of the investments she made online, based on the advice of experts she listened to on the radio and TV.

I asked her: “Do you really want to make better investments?”

She said: “Of course I want to make better investments otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”

Then I said: “Let’s see what your body has to say?”

And she said: “What does that mean?”

I explained that muscle testing is the language that the body talks.

Your muscle strength comes from your inner truth… and your doubts and fears will show up as weakness.

As we practiced it I let her put her thumb and ring finger together forming a circle. I asked her to say: “I want to make better investments” and I tried to pull her fingers apart, breaking the circle. To Leslie’s big surprise her muscle was very weak. I was able to easily pull her fingers apart. Remember weakness means “No.” Her body said she did not want to make better investments.

To get ten free videos showing you how to correctly do muscle testing go to www.thefirstkey.com

Leslie stated it was impossible for her to want to lose all this money. It made no sense. I agreed that consciously she did not want to lose money, but we needed to ask the body.

We checked muscle strength with different affirmations, as detailed in the book. When we checked “My mother deserves that I’ll make good investments,” the muscle was weak.

Then we started to explore why. Leslie remembered the message she received from her mother as a child that women were not good at business. “Money is a man’s thing,” she would often say. So Leslie’s father controlled the money and made all investment and business decisions even though he made bad investments.

Leslie felt angry with her mother for allowing her father to take financial control. She believed the family would have been much better off if her mother had handled the money. Leslie realized she did the exact same thing. Instead of using her brilliant mind to choose investments, she relied upon male associates or brokers.

Once she realized what she was doing and why, it became easy to remove the sabotage.   She decided to take an investment seminar, read about every stock thoroughly before investing. Leslie then started to make good investments.

From my years of practice, I became convinced that whether we are talking about money, career, relationships or health, you cannot achieve your goal if you have subconscious sabotage.

The sabotage can be because you subconsciously feel you do not deserve it, that you are not good enough. Or it could be a result of anger or mainly a result of fear.

The good news is that I have developed an effective tool, the Sabotage Correction Technique (SCT), to detect and remove the sabotage, to whatever is stopping you.

A Step-By-Step Guide For Creating Your Money Making Facebook Fan Page

Whether you already have a Facebook profile or not, go to www.facebook.com/pages/ and you will be brought to a page that says “Create a Page.”

CLICK HERE TO INCREASE YOUR LIKES ON FACEBOOK

When you come to the Create a Page screen, you can start by doing the following:

1. Click on “Chose Brand, Products, or Organization”

2. Fill in “Page Name” (make sure to include your main keyword if possible)

3. Click on the box stating you are the official representative.

4. Click “Create Official Page.”

If you aren’t logged in, or don’t yet have an account, you will be prompted at this point to either log in or create an account.

Now it’s time to start adding content to your new Fan Page.

The first thing you need to do is add an image for your Page.

Pick an image that represents what your Page is about rather than an image of yourself.

After you add your photo, you need to edit the thumbnail to make sure it includes the portion of your photo that is most relevant.

After the image is uploaded, pass your cursor over the top right-hand corner of the uploaded image.

It will open a box with a pencil that says “Change Photo.” Click on “Change Photo” and a drop down box will appear.

Click on “Edit Thumbnail” and follow the directions to make any adjustments and then click “Save.”

There is a small box under the photo that asks you to tell something about your Page. Make sure to fill this box out.

Next, click on “Info” tab at the top of the page.

On this page, you’ll have two fields to add information to, if you wish.

The first field is “Basic Info” and basically contains a place to put the date your business was founded.

The second field is “Detailed Information” so you can explain more about your business.

When you finish with these two section, click “Done Editing” and move to the next screen.

Under your photo, you will see “Edit Page.”

If you click this you will be brought to a section where you can customize your Fan Page however you want to.

There are way too many choices to go into all of them here.

You need to explore your options and pick the ones that best meet your needs, and the interests of your potential “fans.”

Once you’ve created your first Fan Page, it will become increasingly easier to do more pages.

I would suggest you visit the right sidebar. Under “Help with Your Page” is a link “For tips and information about Facebook Pages, click here.”

Click there and it will take you to a page that will explain everything, under the Resources tab.

There is a Quick Start Guide and a Pages Manual that you can download and refer to as you proceed.

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

1. Keep your title short because when you add content your title is added to each post.

2. If you want to, you can chose a “vanity” url after you have twenty-five fans.

3. The maximum size for an image for your Fan Page is 200 pixels (width) by 600 pixels (height). Use the full size if at all possible.

4. Fill out the About Us box right below your picture and include a clickable link back to your main blog, or wherever you choose.

5. Using the application “Social RSS” you can bring your blog posts onto your Fan Page.

6. Let your fans post also on your Fan Page so when someone comes to your page, it looks “alive” with a lot of interaction.

Those are just a few tips for your Fan Page. More will be scattered throughout the rest of this report.

Monetizing Your Facebook Fanpages

One of the easiest ways to make money with your Fan Pages is to find a product you want to promote on one of the marketplaces, such as Click Bank or Amazon.

Build your niche Fan Page around the product. But don’t jump to do this!

Make sure your Fan Page is up and running before you start trying to “sell” to your Fans.

The good way to go is to first offer some free content that is of high quality – maybe a mini-course related to the niche.

More people opt-in to a mini-course than to any other kind of free offer. Just make sure it is high quality and relevant to your community.

After your Fan Page has become trusted and popular, you can use a tab to send your Fans directly to an affiliate sales page.

It’s just like anything else.

Once your Fans trust you and believe in you, they are more accepting of the quality products you recommend to them that are relevant to their needs. It’s a no brainer!

Remember also to put your affiliate link, where appropriate, into any eBook, mini-course, newsletter, etc. that you give away to your Fans for free.

Another option is to build your list with your Fan Page.

If you create a landing page using “Static FBML” (Face Book Markup Language), which is one of the available Applications, you can offer anyone who comes to your Fan Page the chance to sign up for your free mini-course or whatever, for free, without selling anything.

Set up your autoresponder with aweber.com or getresponse.com, add the application “Static FBML” to your Facebook Fan Page, and follow the simple directions.

You can also make money with your Fan Page with your product and with CPA offers.

Studies have shown that when people read about your offers on your Fan Page and then easily refer your Fan Page to their friends, their friends are more likely to buy whatever you are offering based on their friends’ recommendation.

Connecting And Building A Relationship With Your Facebook Fans

One good thing about Fan Pages is you can send updates, via email to all of your fans at the same time.

Not so with your profile page.

So, when you have a special article, or a promotion, or some really great information, you can let all of your fans know.

Just don’t spam them!

If you have set up your SEO properly – putting you keyword in the title and using it elsewhere on your page – when people search for the keyword they will automatically find you.

When they do, make sure they find a well-structured, lively page that gives them more than they expected.

Here are some interesting statistics from Facebook:

1. The average Facebook user has 130 friends.

2. More than 25 billion pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc.) are shared each month.

3. Over 300,000 users helped translate the site through the translations application.

4. More than 150 million people engage with Facebook on external websites every month.

5. Two-thirds of comScore’s U.S. Top 100 websites and half of comScore’s Global Top 100 websites have integrated with Facebook.

6. There are more than 100 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices.

7. People who access Facebook via mobile are twice as active than non-mobile users (think about that when designing your Facebook page).

8. The average Facebook user is connected to 60 pages, groups and events.

9. People spend over 500 billion minutes per month on Facebook.

10. There are more than 1 million entrepreneurs and developers from 180 countries on Facebook.”*

* Statistics from Facebook press office.
